Dr. Holmes Invited to W.H.O. Consensus Conference

Dr. Alice Holmes has been invited as 1 of 3  USA participants (21 worldwide) to the World Health Organization’s Consensus conference for ICF Core Sets for Hearing Loss, at Eriksholm, Denmark, May 4 to 6, 2012.  The goal of this conference is to reach agreement on internationally accepted ICF Core Sets for Hearing Loss that are practical and feasible. As an invited participant, Dr. Holmes will be trained in the ICF philosophy and provided information on data collected in preliminary studies.  She will participate in working groups that will ultimately decide on the ICF categories to be included in the comprehensive ICF Core Set for Hearing Loss.
