UF Audiology Faculty Offering Stable Advice to the Residents of Oak Hammock

Drs. Sheri Martin and Devon Weist spoke to a capacity crowd at the Oak Hammock residences this summer.  Their topic?  Balance – It Starts In the Ears.   They covered hot topics such as unsteadiness, vertigo and fear of falling.  Then they went one step further:  Interested participants had their balance function screened.   Folks were able to discuss their balance concerns and see how they fared on the screening.  Those found to have difficulty were referred for appropriate medical or other follow-up.  Nice to know our faculty have no problem balancing their clinical, educational, research and public service missions!  Thank you Dr. Martin and Dr. Weist!
