Post-Baccalaureate Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders

Complete pre-requisites for the Master’s program via distance learning.

The online Post-Baccalaureate Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders program is offered by the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, which is part of the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida.

This online post-baccalaureate program is designed primarily for individuals who have earned a Bachelor’s degree in an area other than Communication Sciences and Disorders and now wish to use a distance learning platform to complete the prerequisite courses (i.e., “leveling courses”) that are necessary to be considered for admission into a graduate program in either audiology or speech-language pathology. These courses may also be suitable for individuals who have already earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and now wish to improve their grade point average for core courses in the major. Before you apply to this program, you first should see whether the graduate programs to which you will apply do indeed require these courses and, if so, which courses are required.

ADMISSION DEADLINES:

  • The admission deadline for enrollment in fall semester courses in the Post-Baccalaureate program each year is May 1.
  • If you are interested in enrolling in Nondegree courses, please go to http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/currents/nondegree.html. Contact Carrie Howard at clh@phhp.ufl.edu for additional details.
  • See the Tentative Course Schedule below.  Course prerequisites must be completed prior to enrollment in a particular course.
