Hurricane Supply Checklist
Hurricane Supply Checklist – Each department should be sure they have the following items:
- Weather Radio
- Flash lights
- Batteries for flashlights
- Fuel in dept vehicle (In case of storm, move vehicle to designated parking garage.)
- Emergency contact list
Important steps/items to secure office space in case of a hurricane or other severe weather:
- Administrative checklist
- Remove any equipment from the floor
- Clear exposed surfaces (desks, tables, window sills, etc)
- Close blinds
- Lock all windows and doors, including interiors
- Follow IT provider instructions
- Protect/cover equipment
- Clean out refrigerator and freezer of items that can spoil
- Take valuables home
Additional options for protecting office equipment :
- Plastic sheeting to cover files and equipment
- Tape for drawers and cabinets
