Introducing Shelby Hart, First Graduate of the BHS-CMS Distance Learning Program

shartIn August 2015, Shelby Hart became the first graduate of the online Bachelor of Health Sciences Communication Sciences and Disorders program. Hart is from Mayo, Florida, and has worked 20 hours or more a week while enrolled in the program. Since starting the program in 2013, Hart has moved to Gainesville and currently works for the University of Florida IFAS Extension EFNEP/FNP program. She plans to apply for the Communication Sciences and Disorders master’s program in January and attend UF in the fall of 2016. In the future, Hart hopes to work with students in a school setting as a speech-language pathologist.

“This program has exceeded my expectations. I have been allowed to work while furthering my career and not be locked into a set schedule. This program has been life changer for me,” said Hart.
