The 40th annual G. Paul Moore Symposium proudly hosted Dr. Lisa Hunter from the University of Cincinnati and Dr. Julie Barkmeier-Kraemer from the University of Utah in the world’s largest and longest-running student-led continuing education event in our profession. Dr. Hunter provided an intellectually stimulating talk on recent advances in pediatric electrophysiologic assessment while Dr. Barkmeier-Kraemer enlightened attendees with her thought-provoking presentation on vocal mechanics and neurogenic voice disorders. The talks evoked fruitful discussions over the two-day event which honors the former professor and department chair, Dr. G. Paul Moore. A researcher and lifelong innovator in the field of voice science, Dr. Moore would have felt right at home with the thought-provoking, memorable presentations.  Credit also should go to this year’s hard-working symposium chairs, Alexa Thompson and Cara Duncan, as well as faculty advisor, Dr. Scott Griffiths, for coordinating this event.
