Children with hearing loss are learning language! This summer, adolescents from across the country came to be tested on their language, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities. All these children have been followed since infancy, so have provided a rich, longitudinal database. Outcomes generally show how well medical and behavioral interventions are supporting language learning for children born with severe-to-profound hearing loss!
